So it was in Texas.

I produce seasonal collections of handmade, functional ceramics for local retailers, and sculpture for fine art galleries and interior designers.  My clay is often sourced from regional creeks and rivers, where influences run deep amid the limestone and juniper. Native to Texas, I’ve lived in the Basin and Range, the Great Plains and throughout the Hill Country. I’m interested in natural forms and patterns, and my studio practice explores themes in spontaneity, balance and proportion. By using my arms and hands as units of measurement, I’m able to naturally express PHI (the golden ratio)—a design principle that we see throughout the natural world. When viewed through that lens, it’s not surprising that my work evokes abstract images of anatomy, geometry and the chambered nautilus. Please reach out if you have questions or commissions.
