This handmade ceramic sculpture was produced in March 2026, when I was deeply locked into Lorca’s Play and Theory of the Duende‍ ‍- his transformation of Spanish folklore elements into a robust creative method that is energized by a heightened state of emotion, expression and authenticity in art. Much of my own process is guided by spontaneity and rapid association of volumes and forms - visible here with this heavily cantilevered stoneware sculpture measuring 24H x 18W x 12D inches.
